About Olga

 

Olga Sugden was born in Lviv, Ukraine in 1962, where she received an education in textile arts, and later, book illustration. Her experience included textile design, theatre stage set design, and book illustration. In 1990, Olga moved to North America, where her works were exhibited in several established galleries. She settled in British Columbia where she has lived for the past 20 years with her family. 

Olga also launched the Golden Egg Studio line of greeting cards in 2011, showing them at the National Stationary Show in New York. Following the New York show, the Golden Egg Studio card line signed agreements with distributors for Canada, USA, and Australia. Olga's original artworks have been sold in leading galleries in Vancouver and Victoria, as well as directly to private collectors. Her influences include such illustrators as Beatrix Potter, Gennadiy Spirin, and James Christiansen.
